Finished eventually, Ben Nevis with Scott's Pines, oil on canvas.

Finished this work today, eventually, after nearly 2 months....

Worked further on the foreground sections on the left hand side, added stunted Scott's Pine and on the right smaller vegetation types typical to the geography and location. Still much to do with water reflections and work on large trees and vegetation on the right hand side..small steps...

A few hours more.....

Mountain painted from Ben Nevis photos I took recently.....still a few days to go on this work...

Toning and trees added in background...tints to large tree in foreground..

Spent a few hours, about 7, I think on tints and adding some smaller trees for scale...more work on the larger trees needed , shadow areas still needed to define the leaves and foliage....

One more tree done...more to come on Monday...

Tackled another tree in the foreground today, painting starting to pull together in the front now , however much vegetation still to add to the foreground area in colours from the sky and mountains to create colour harmony. Onwards I go...patience and more patience..
